I've done a earch but can't find anything about this...

I'mjust fitting the brake lines to my MK indy. No do i have to fit the side panel before fittingthe flex at the front? I would prefer not too. Pics would be great sent that there is a lack of them in the MK Manual

some people attach a L shaped bracket to the chassis, I gues you will have to undo it and and thread it through a hole in the side panel when you fit it.

But that would mean diconnecting it and re bleeding the brakes.... is this the case, is this what every does?

or you could fit the sides then fit the brakes and the job is done.

My brake lines go in front of the side panels. I thought for a few years now the Indy side panels have stopped short of the front suspension?

They do stop short, but the brake lines still need to go in that general area.

I've been thinking that I'll fit an L shaped bracket as decsribed, but cutting a recess out of the side panel so the hose doesn't actually pass through the panel itself (if that description makes sense)

I’ve fitted mine on "L" brackets in front of the side panel but the standard hoses that MK sell are a bit one the short side so you my need to get a couple of hoses an inch or two longer.

We fitted a vertical 1" strip of aluminium to the chassis to give the leading edge of the side panel some additional strength and also used this to mount the flexi's.

Filling the system with fluid and bleeding the brakes was one of the last jobs we did.
