Hi Greg,

I got one of CBS' fans, a 12" one. The feet supplied with it didn't quite reach the mounts on the rad, so I made a couple of plates for them to sit on (21x6 cm) - there's a photo on my blog if you want to take a look.

I've always used Pacet Thinline fans...

Not the cheapest around, but certainly do the trick!

I was running a 10 inch fan on the Honda with the standard 1.3 Car engine, so i'd imagine it'd be fine for a BEC...

They mount on cable tie sort of things that your run through the fins too

Although take care with that type of mounts as (as has been discussed here before) the cable tie can 'saw' through the rad!
If you use these mounts then make sure you fit the rubber covers on the cable tie to protect the rad.

Cheers,
James

Hi there. We have used two Aprilia RSV fans on our Polo radded Phoenix Fireblade. Paid £10 for one and £8 for the other. Each one around 7". They are made by SPAL and suck like fury!
Fan mount is custom made.
Geoff.
