893 Fireblade Speedo/Gages - How to connect?

Hi,
How do you connect the speedo (bike clocks) to the engine (893 blade)? Basically how do you make it work?

Cheers

Depends what loom you are using, I adapted the original loom and it just plugs in at the back using the two plugs.

The clocks just plug into the loom. The speedo sensor picks up from the bolt that holds the sprocket on. It has a round piece of plastic with a hexagonal insert that is positioned over the bolt head. Obviously, in a BEC application the pickup will not fit. On our first Blade engined Indy, we manufactured a bracket to run the wheel on the output flange of the diff. I'm sure there's some pictures on our website which show it better.

A description is on here how we did it - it lasted about 5000 miles before it's life was prematurely and abruptly stopped.

Or use a later blade gearbox speed sensor and point that at some magnets on the prop or diff...

Thanks guys, I think that the speed sensor was missing from my loom that is why I was confused.
