meter lights?
bassett - 16/2/09 at 09:27 PM

Hi on my 02 r1 im wiring the indicators and dipped beam to the warning lamps on the original clocks. This works fine but whilst looking at the Haynes wiring diagram im unsure what is meant by meter lights so could anyone enlighten me?
Cheers

I would say meter lights are the instrument pack illumination

oh right, ive never checked in the dark so never really thought about. If its not working it shouldnt be too difficult to wire this to ignition live.

The clocks have to illuminate for SVA. Why not wire them to the side lights?

Il check them tomorrow to make sure they dont work already its just that i stumbled across meter lights whilst doing the warning lights so it might work. If its not working and i wire it to the ign on the side light will it be able to power the clocks 9 savage switches and 3 gauge wires and ignition feeds or am i better off using two seperate feeds i think the wire is 8amp?
cheers

Not sure I understand. We might be on different wavelengths!??

It's a feed in to power the clock illumination, not out to feed other stuff. Branch off your side-light feed, after the switch, to the "meter light" wire and your clocks will illuminate when the lights are on.
