Could also be the discs are a bit rusty if the engine has been sitting for a while. It may sort itself out given time.....

I have to say I've NEVER felt our's judder on take up.

Is there too little or too much Oil in there?

is it a case of you just being a little too cautious and not giving it enough umph!

Sounds like you have toasted your clutch steels. Whip out the plates and see if they are very blued. Lay then on a piece of glass to check for any runnout.

Sportsbike clutches will suffer more from this than tourers (all be they high performance ones like in a Busa or ZX12).

If your basket is grooved you can find when you use the clutch you get that judder feeling.

From what Ive seen what your saying sounds quite commen although the amount it judders can very between BECS.

When I first got mine I took the clutch case off to inspect it. Found my steels had blued has mentioned earlier and the spings had grooved the basket. I filled the basket to make it really smooth and replaced the plates also using fresh 10w/40 semi synth.

Its much better but still does it a little. Hope that helps?
