Hi, is there a minimum speed required for reverse under the IVA rules.
Has anyone tryed to use a worm drive, as this would require less power ,( thus less weight) but move a lot slower.
I was thinking that although it would be slower you would have a better chance of climbing slops if needed.
As an alternative how about a mini crown and pinion. I saw one on ebay and it looks small and a single peice that could be machined to beable to fit a
prop. It may be easyer to get a sprocket made to match a starter, but i am thinking locost scrap laying around that is already designed to work at
speed.
Ofcource I may just be thinking total rubish, but untill I can get back in the garage it is what I do.

The only issue I could see is making a worm drive system that can be reliably be engaged and dis-engaged.
