May need a new one, any pointers as to where I should look? Ebay have got them but I'm a little taken back at the price considering that they are not OEM.

rectifier for what?

if that is all you need, then buy 6 diodes, assuming it is for a 3-phase car alternator.

regulator is a bit more complex £££

You do not have to use a BUSA regulator, BECs have 3 phase regulators, so three yellow wires from the generator to teh regulator.

I have horrors of horrors a ducati one on my blade engine, its been fine and cost £5 on ebay.

Just get one with a large heat sink, make sure its not 6 volts!

I used these guys (who are local to me)

electrex busa bits

The benefit is that these are new bits, so might last a bit longer.
