Before I start drawing up the gasket does anyone have a pdf or autocad drawing of an 01 head gasket, engines 4xv and 5jj?

I have an old 4XV head gasket on my garage floor. It won't be in usable condition but might it be of use to you?

Ben i think you will probably find its as cheep getting a cometic gasket from holeshot if i remember right i payed about £50 for mine wouldn't think a normal R1 gasket is allot cheaper.

why not go to your local dealer?

As Paul has said I am able to get a decopmpression plate made by a local engineering company if I draw it up. If I buy a decompression plate it will be in the region of £150.

Dave... Have you got anymore details on the cometic gasket?

On the holeshot website it does give a price of £60 for a gasket, is this the one?

Thanks

smart51 thanks for the offer of the gasket, I already have one spare. I was looking to see if anyone already has it drawn up but it looks like there could be a better option now.

Not sure if that's the one but mines the thicker of the two available @ 1.5mm nicely made with a steal coated gasket eather side of the decompresion plate all riveted together,
wouldn't hurt giving them a ring or even emailing cometic direct and cut out the middle man im fairly sure it was only around £50 i don't keep receipts (the temptation to add them up scares the crap out of me ) so cant check the price for sure
