Just got 5 litres of Castrol Power1 4T 10W-40,will this be OK or should I swop for semi synthetic?
get the proper recommended stuff, whatever that is for your engiine
I thought that was a semi? either way its a high performance bike oil, right for your engine.
Had problems with clutch slip with full,I stick to semi.
Just checked on Castrol website, it,s a semi synth for highly stressed bike engines
dosn't say on label and Halfords have it as a full synth
on shelf edge. Thanks for reply peeps

It is a semi-synth yup.
Never had a problem with fully synth and clutch slip in the R1, but guess its not working as hard as in a BEC, despite getting thrashed to within an inch of its life.

Depends whether it's Castrol Power1 Racing 4T or Castrol Power1 GPS 4T. The latter is Semi (and recommended) - the former might give clutch slip, and cost more![]()
