Had my zx12r indy dynod and the power commander mapped at powertec engineering (radical race cars engine and tuning arm) this morning, the fueling was
miles out,the cars running so much better now feels like a different car.
162.65 bhp at the wheels
89.17 ft-lbs torque
well chuffed.
Good figures - 10bhp up on our's! Though with the tolerance of the R.R. they'll not be far off each other I guess!
Will you be tracking it at all?
Steve
Oh yes will be tracking it, and must say it's worth every penny having the car mapped can't understand why I waited so long, cost £160,not too much if you look at the cost of a complete build.
We'll very likely see you around then
Steve
Is that totally standard or any mods? I noticed the blank off plates on your photos, was that ok for SVA with emissions or cause problems? I've heard conflicting reports. I've got some just not sure whether to save them till after or not
I would suspect both engines are standard at 152 - 162 bhp.
The blanking plates are on as emissions were not checked on ours - ours SVA'd as a pre-95 'blade.
We later changed the engine...

NOT BAD for a girly engine

Yes standard engine,a1 model which is the unrestricted one. Blanking plates not fitted for sva,you need all the standard gubbings for sva emmissions, when I had mine mapped for the sva emmissions it made a noticable difference when the blanking plates were removed and the original parts were fitted.
Yeah mines the a1 model. You don't happen to have your SVA power commander map you could email me by any chance do you??

some nice BHP figure from the zx12's
mmmmm wonder what mine is??
it must be either 142 or 172

The A1's are only unrestricted in sixth gear for top speed, which won't affect BHP and won't be noticeable between engines of different
years.
IMO, it's OK borrowing PC maps to get your engine running somewhere near but you really do need it mapping on a RR to suit your particular
application, otherwise whats the point in fitting a PC in the first place?
Phil
i sva mapped my gsxr1000 with the buttons on power commander and they let me play with air pipes on rocker cover that bleeds air into exhaust and
passed emissions no problem. oh and my suzuki gsxr 1000 k4 also did bhp162 .6 at rear wheels on a 6 month old dyno but 80.45 ftlb and i am from york
where yorkies are made
