I have just done a barnett clutch upgrade and now I have no power coming out of the gearbox to the prop when I put the car into gear. There is also
very little movement in the prop when I try to move it manually
does this indicate that I havent got the clutch plate back on properly (not in synch with the pull rod) indicating that the clutch is currently in or
something more severe ?

did you just replace the springs? does the car feel like it is going into gear , also is it coming out of neutral
What engine is it? As a stab in the dark, the last plate is not in place properly and this is preventing the plates pulling up together. It will just be behaving as though the clutch pedal is down meaning that you can go through the gears but get no drive to the output shaft.
Ben
I replaced the springs and the plate
the car feels like it is going into gear and can go back into neutral but there is no power going to the prop at all
edit - forgot to say the engine is an 03 R1

I stand by my last answer then.
Jammed clutch basket? Need to open it up and see what's jammed..........
My guess is the pull rod not engaged properly.
Shine a torch in through the oil filler hole, I could see it when I converted mine - same engine, same conversion.
Out of interest which springs did you use ?
I used the heavy duty ones.
turned out some numpty (i.e. me) didnt have the conversion plate bedded in properly - so can now get power to the prop - just tweaking the clutch arm
now to get the clutch to bite
hopefully my woes are near over
apologies for wasting eveyones time
wheels244 - I went with the heavy duty springs as these seem to be recommended by most people
glad you are sorted
