
Just had a great day at Cadwell until gearbox locked forcing an early bath.
Engine is C2 and has only done 5000mile. general concensus is that E series boxes are stronger, anybody used one in anger ?
Any suggestions regarding switching to a different motor altogether..... and before some commedian suggests a Ford unit, I've already heard it

Killed 2 C2's in quick succesion before switching to a £250 E off ebay, it withstood 4 years of relentless track abuse until it threw a rod at
Cadwell last year,box is far better on the E's.
C's are shite.

i may know where there is a zx9 but not sure what year
will find out late next week

Oh well mine's a B so I must be in deep shit.

Not sure about the gearbox but on B models the head gaskets are prone to going.
