I currently have just a cheap fuel filter just before the injection pump for my 2003 R1.

Filter and pump in the boot area.

Do i keep as is, or purhcase a better quality item pre-pump? If so, recomendations?

A cheap filter before the pump is fine to stop crap getting into the pump but you want an injection filter after the pump. I think the one I've got is from a Vectra from memory as they have push on ends, but pretty much any fuel injection filter will do.

Cheap filter before pump, Espace V6 filter between pump and engine.

Sorted.

Went to Halfrauds today, Astra 16v injection fuel filter for £10.00.

Fitted in 5 mins.

Now have piece of mind
