Mate is having to change his 919engine after a blow up and the replacement 919 engine has some extra coolant pipes outlets on the block. Anyone got any pics or breakdown of where pipes go etc.
Oil cooler ?
First pic new engine . 2nd pic old engine.
What goes on the little feckers and where do they go
Note where the conrod popped out on what was sold as a fluke baffle plated engine but didn't actually have a baffle plate in it

ahh wrong side of engine I wondered if you was looking at water/oil oil cooler, cant help even looking at the pics I'm afraid, I guess blanking them and plumbing as old unit will have no adverse effect ?
Hi Craig
they are both cylinder head bleeds which are fitted on the 96/97 motors but not on the 98/99 ones. The earlier model has a pair of ports on the water
pump for them. If you are unsure give me a bell on 01449 736633 - I will be in on Sunday
regards
Andy
One of my 919 engines also had a remote thermostat which sits by the starter motor.
I threw this away, blocked the pipe to the water pump and put the thermostat up the top as usual.
Regards Mark
Thanks to Craig for putting this up for me I have now joined the forum! Any help is always appreciated and I would like to thank Andy B who has been very helpful. I am sure I will be asking more questions in the future.
Did you get my emails Ade?
Does anyone have any pictures of where these hoses connect to the water pump and if they are coupled together. Its all a bit confusing to me
What no pictures

Ok lets try another way I have connected all the exisiting pipes up and now have 1 outlet on the water pump and two outlets from the head. The old engine did not have these. How do these connect up to the system. Please help I dont want to guess and have another blown engine. Both are 919 engines but of different ages.
Ok found out where all the pipes go Thanks to downloading manual off internet My manual didnt show them.
