After passing my SVA yesterday I can now make my R1 run much richer and get some more performance.
Until I get the car dynojetted I would like some advice on the mixture screws - how many turns out should I have them? To what it says in the haynes
manual?
I have a pipercross filter on at the moment. I don't think the engine is dynojetted (do I check by taking the diaphragm covers off?)
Thanks
James
The mixture screws only affect idle mixture and mixture on very small throttle openings.
Jets and needle position alter the mixture at larger throttle openings.
2.5 turns out is a reasonable place to start for the idle jets.

3 1/4 turns out.
