r1 lights

Starting to wire up my switches and gauges. I have used and extended the R1 loom including the lights and as i understand it the sidelights come on with the ignition so the only light i can switch on/off is the full beam is there an easy way of making the side lights and main beam switchable. I have a 06 R1 and am using savage switches if this makes any difference, Thanks in advance Greg

I'd run the feeds to the lights through relays and switch the relays from the dash switches.

Having said that, I made out all the body/chassis wiring on a seperate loom from the enging one.

I don't like the idea of all my lights on one fuse. Lose that and you go home in the dark or worse.
I've wired the Motaleira with split circuits for left and right sides of the car which means two fuses for sides, dipped and main beams.
At least if one goes I'll have enough lighting to get home.
