just looking at bike engine prices,i have no intention of putting such an object into my next car you understand and i noticed the trophy engines seem sooooooo much cheaper than blades/r1,s etc,any reason for this?,i know they are a bit lacking in the BHP department but would they be any good in a lightweight midi? (not that i have any intention of building such an animal

Think the Strathcarron had the same motor... albeit lightly breathed on by Ilmor.

They were getting about 135bhp out of the motor...

Are they a little bit tall (physically)
Looked at a Trident briefly recently and thought it looked a big engine?

The difference in price in a variety of engines also comes down to saleability...

And off the shelf available parts...

I'd give them a wide berth. about 20% less power than a zx9r/r1 etc. No way near as reliable, spares are expensive and they're not as reliable.
