Bike carbs ZZR probs
Lightning - 11/2/10 at 01:57 PM

I've got zzr1100 carbs on the zzr1200 engine. Apparently this was done as the fuel cut offs prevented the carbs from working. The problem is the ZZR1200 carbs have a throttle position sensor for the ECU. What I am considering is removing the float bowls from the 1200 and replacing them with the bowls from the 1100 so that there are no fuel cut offs.

What would have made the cut offs work. They are wired into the ECU. Does the original read switch have anything to do with it??????

Presumably the fuel cut valves improve MPG/emissions?

The throttle position sensor would allow a mapped ignition - for better power/MPG/emissions.

Why not use ZZR1200 carbs & ECU as they were designed to work together?

As i said the cut offs prevent the carbs working, possibly because of the read switch, hence the question

No problems at all.....
