Hello All,
I am looking at building an R1 clubby, I am in the design stage and would like to know what is being used for a car of this weight and power. Car will
be a mix of road and track.
So my question is.
Does anyone know
Front Roll Center height
Front Instantanous center width
KPI
Caster
Camber (base settings)
Front Scrub
Rear Roll Center height
Rear Instantanous center width
Rear Scrub
Rear Track
Rear Camber
I am fully aware that the front upright decides what is caster and KPI. But if I can get an insight then I can choose something that suits.
Thank you for your time
Tim

This is a hornet's nest.
There is no perfect suspension system, everything is variable and what works for one wil not work for another.
Front roll centre lower than the rear
Instantaneous centre is wherever you want it
Castor - from -5 to -11deg
Front scrub - 1/4 of tyre width
Rear scrub - none as it does not steer
Camber - not too much, depends on suspension movement
I am fully aware that there is no exact science, and that everyone has / believes in something different, but I am just hoping for a starting
point.
Thanks for your information, a very helpful starting point
For Roll centre I was think 30mm Fr, 50mm rear??
