I've got an oil leak from my 5VY. It's coming from one of the 3 bolts around the centre of the starter/generator cover. From the workshop manual these appear to hold a bearing housing on the back of the cover. Is that right? Can I just re-seal the bolt or does the cover have to come off?

Give Andy Bates a call. I think he has prepped enough RGB cars with this engine and will know.

Well, I've spoken to Andy and we've both looked at the manualand... we're none the wiser. So I just have to strip it and find out unless someone else knows something.
