how easy is it to fit a paddle shift system to a sierra colomn??
will i have to loose the switches etc???

yep you won't be able to have both paddles and switches on there, unless the collumn's REALLY long so the paddles and switches don't hit each other at any point
Most people loose the switches and steering lock, but it has been done and kept them.

I have a paddleshift and a single stalk setup on my Fury. I have had to attach the stalk near to the dash, it is easy reach though.
The difficult thing was finding a right hand "lights and indicators" stalk (which I needed as the push-rod goes down the left hand side).
1980s Nissan Micra came to the rescue.
Some people put small latching switches on the actual steering wheel and wire up using curly cable and connector.
Paddle shift is fairly simply if you have access to a lathe. The key part is the sleeve. Have a look in my Fury pics for dimensions

I turned down the column so that it was almost an interference fit when the collar was slipped on.

as i dont need to iva the car im thinking all i need on the colom is indicator and main beam???
i can put the lightswitch on the dashboard??

As said above by the guys. You can also make a take off plate to mount under the column (if you want to retain the Sierra switches etc) tvia the
tapped holes and bearing off the plate with paddle levers comminh up from there. Loads of stuff on here 'Search is your friend'

The paddleshift we fitted retains all the Sierra switchgear. You could easily lose most of the switches and put them on the dash but losing the
indicator stalk would be a pain in the ass.

Thats a very neat paddle setup does it flex much?
I agree indicators and main/dipped are a pain if not on stalks.

Yes it can. Using a quickshift kit with actuators. I think most still put a gearlever in though as back-up/to find neutral.

I would be a little worried with using quickshift actuators on a blade as the selector forks aren't the strongest. If purely a competion car
then maybe, but not on a road car.
