can i use a bike can for a silencer or do i need to fit a car one???

A silencer which is designed for a bike will probably work fine with a car engine but just be aware of possible bore size issues - a car engine will have a larger flow.

As a bike revs higher the flow rate will be similar, as bikes are very tuned, the bike ones flow well.

I know a few people on here have used R1 cans for zetecs and similar

I've got an R1 can on a K-series engine - no problems

my engine is going to be from a honda fireblade.....

Only problem I can see is the angle of the outlet pipe.
