Loss of Power

Hi Guys

Had a great drive out today with Coozer in his MNR up to Hartside cafe we ended up doing 240 miles at a very fast pace around some cracking roads, My problems started after filling up with fuel V power.
When I was doing about 80 it would loose power slightly like a stutter then it would be fine for maybe another 20/30 miles every so often for no reason when i was hoofing it it would stutter then I would drop gear and it would take off again and be ok did that about 10 times over the 240miles other than that it was a fantastic adreniline exciting ride out.

Any one explain this

Thanks Terry

What is your fuel tank made of? If its steel, it could potentially have rusted and clogged up your fuel filter and starving your engine of just enough fuel when hoofing it to cause it to stutter.

At least you could keep up !! I then tried to catch the daft sod up and I ended going through a mobile camera doing 80 in a 50! Haven't had anything through the post as yet!

Sounds like you had a good drive out though.

Take care

Rich

just sounds like something i had but more probably a fuel issue, i had a slightly loose conection on the live feed to the coil, same symptoms as you. as above though sounds more like a fuel issue.

Its an aluminium tank. I think its a fuel issue too. As we were on run Ihad to fill up 3 times 1st time Vpower then esso unleaded then a small petrol station with ancient tanks unleaded is it ok to keep changing between super and normal tank wasnt empty on refuels.

Howdy Rich
I went through a speed camera 4 weeks ago havnt heard any thing yet been told you should hear within 2 weeks. On our way home last night Steve over took a bus on a blind turn very near miss Its hard to keep with him I was on the edge of my linits most the day trying to keep up.
But was a kewl day.
