power loss round corners?
shaun fulcrum - 1/6/10 at 05:30 PM

Hi all, I was at Snetterton yesterday which was great fun! but I noticed when pushing hard round the first and second corners, although having my foot planted i still felt the car accelerate a noticeable amount harder once straightened up!?!

Is this normal? or do you think maybe the clutch is giving up? but then I didn't notice more revs, just less pull.

Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks
Shaun

you must be getting quicker round the corners now,

is the fuel tank baffled ???etc,

also will start to lean out not a good idea if starving fuel,???

A fuel swirl pot is what you need

AHHH didn't think of that

I think I had about 1/4 tank left in there so could well be the problem. Thanks to all for the speedy responses

Will post up some video once the camera talks to the damn laptop!!!!!

Cheers,
Shaun

i would say definately fuel surge if you only had a 1/4 of a tank.

Hi

Fuel starvation would be quite noticeable. More likely cause is the common problem. Lack of damper droop travel on the rear end. Depends on the chassis Race / Road. And whether RAW have put the brakets in the right place !!!.

Beat me to it, wheel spin.

I would expect fuel starvation to show its head at the end of the straights not going onto them.
