Went out Saturday for a 60mile blatt.
Stopped for a drink for 20min then started car, rested foot on throttle to stop the oil pressure alarm from triggering. Drove to road and when
selecting second gear, accelerating away, it boggged down, like it was flooded.
Carried on for 10miles, then during pulling away hard in second gear it bogged down again, this time under full throttle.
Fuel tank was 30% full and has an internal swirl pot.
Any idea's?
Is it carbs or fuel injected?
tank breather blocked??
2003 5PW. Injection. Been fine for last year and 600 miles
Fuel starvation for one reason or another?
I get it under hard cornering when I'm running low (reminds me to come in for more fuel on trackdays).
But I guess it could also be a partially blocked fuel filter or a fuel pump on its way out?
Is it still doing it?
Does it happen in other gears as soon as you give it a decent throttle opening?
Are you running a power commander?
To answer the questions.....
Not doing it as its sitting in the garge till the weather pics up.
Will check fuel filters this week.
It only seemed to do it in 2nd, possibly other gears but i backed off in the other gears.
No Power Commander
check the voltage at the pump when engine is running, if in doubt replace fuel filter
