As per the title, will the 1998 generator cover fit a 2002 engine? I know that many of the parts of pre-2004 engines are interchangeable. What about the generator cover?

I very much doubt it, Th engines went from carb to injection 2001/2, and I know the generator from a 2003 wont fit a 2001 model.
