zx12r - another wiring question
locostbuyer83 - 20/8/10 at 08:53 PM

hey guys,

ive searched and couldnt find anything about this..sorry if its a repost...

wiring my zx12r into my indy...

engine turns, fuel pump runs as it should but no spark and injectors are not pumping out fuel.

weird thing is i disconnected the chucky connector to the starter and when i flick the key the speedo flickers up and down between 0 and 10mph

i know its a wiring fault but just need a clue to how to narrow it down.

many thanks

Have you done all the safety switch bypasses, clutch, side stand, tilt etc?

The side stand is plugged in but in the correct position, it does nothing otherwise. The clutch switch is wired to ground, didn't work til I did that and the tilt sensor is plugged in but flat, still in battery tray in car

Tilt sensor should be mounted vertical with the arrow ointing upwards.

taken the bike down sensor off and double checked the position and its correct, arrow pointing up

ok speedo flickering problem went away once i double checked i had the engine > main loom plugs connected firmly.

ive done the 100phm resistor onto the grey wire on the ecu and sent it to +12v

to disable the clutch switch i've slit and sent the red/green and light green wires from the bike fuse box to earth

if any of this sounds wrong please say

cut the red/green and light green wires from the ECU and earth... not the fuse box

HTH
