Just picked up my new R1 engine from Andy at AB Performance (what a thoroughly nice guy). I'm going to start pulling out the old Blackbird engine in a couple of weeks and make a start on the installation, armed with only an average amount of common sense and an excess of enthusiasm (no previous experience). I apologise in advance for the barrage of stupid questions that are sure to appear on this forum over the next few months.

I wouldn't worry about it... I've been asking them for years now and no one's blown a gasket yet!

...unlike BECs and K series

BECs don't really do gaskets (engine casings maybe, but not gaskets)
