
Can someone have a look at this in tank fuel pump from a hayabusa. According to the manual it should have a level sensor float but there is none.
Single wires are conected to the two silver things (one above the other), are these the sensors? Do all hayabusa's have fuel gauges on the
standard clocks? I've been told this pump may be for a bike with only a low warning light.

i *think* there should be a float fitted to that arm on the side thats bent over at 90 degrees at the top of the photo.
Thats what i thought. I've had a look on ebay at ones for sale and mine looks like one off a gsx1000.

I always assumed those little metal cylinders were fuel temperature sensors (thermistor on parts diagram), but I don't know why they have 2 of
them.

This pump has 2 low level Thermistors on it and was usually fitted to bikes that do not have a fuel gauge. One thermistor is to light up a Low Fuel
Warning light the other is to make the light flash warning that you are dangerously low and find a petrol station urgently. They work by having a
current passing through them. When they are uncovered, the thermistor gets hot as it is no longer cooled by the fuel. This changes the resisatnce and
hence a light can be triggered. They are the 2 round objects one higher than the other in your photo.
If you want a pump with a fuel gauge sender, you will need to look for another one. This one won't do. If however you just want it for the pump,
then it will be fine. They all work at the same pressure.
The pump I used in my car was from a GSX R1000K7/8.

Don't be put off by the 750cc engine size, you will pay more for a Hayabusa pump and there is no need to specifically use a Hayabusa pump if you
are making it fit your tank.
If you are using the Standard Suzuki Hayabusa dashboard, this will be the correct resistance readings for empty and full. You may need to bend the
float to fit inside the tank. The advantage of using this type of pump is that they all self regulate in the tank so you only need one fuel line to
the throttle bodies and NO return.

and it looks like the wrong one was sent with my engine. I'm being sent the correct one so i can use it with the original bike clocks.

No wonder I couldn't find the wires for the fuel pump. I have 4 wires coming from the fuel pump and on the wiring diagram there should be only 3
