Is there any reason why i should not fit paddle shifts before IVA
Seems a lot of people wait until after the test!!
Any good reason for this
Cheers
dont know the reason for this but the manufacturer of my kit said that car wont pass iva with paddle shifts so you have to put normal linkage on till after iva.bit of a bummer when you want paddles from the start as i do.
is there any more had this problem ?
Is it certain test centres wont pass them, or all ?
This has implications for my build, which was going straight onto a button/trickshifter setup on the steering wheel, if the buttons are iva friendly
& the wheel , I take it they still require a mechanical setup.?
Mine passed SVA with paddles. I'm not aware of anything that would change this for IVA

Mine passed with solonoid shift paddles (Kliktronic + home made paddles) behind a Momo wheel.
My steering wheel was also removable with a curly cable plugged under the dash.
They just have to meet the radius rules etc...
