Got a bit of a dilema, getting the sump chopped on my ZX9R, but not sure how much sump I should have showing below bottom rail. The other problem I have is that I haven't bought my bonnet/scuttle/nose yet, so I can't check the clearance I need for the carbs either. I've got my horizontal position sorted now I have my exhaust manifold, gonna bring it back up into the passenger footwell by a couple of inches.

I presume I need to get the bodywork to be really sure, though I would rather cut my bonnet for the carbs than have much showing underneath, heard to many horror stories already...
