Hayabusa Oil Cooler
fimi7 - 1/2/11 at 02:33 AM

I am building a MK Indy with a 08 Hayabusa.

What oil cooler size should I use? Rows, width. Looking for some guidance.

looking at your location i imagine it gets hot so the bigger the better mines a 36 row double core and works great even on track.

do you need a cooler that big???
i just got a cooler that twice the width but half the rows of the original
Due to the location iam fitting it i need the space ...
will this be enough cooling

Have a 13 row cooler mounted in front of radiator, oil temps stay in tolerance even during 1.5 hour non stop run around Cadwell.

Really concerned more about track use than day to day driving. Was planning on replacing with a 16 row, based on the stock one being 15 (I think, need to count it again).

36 seems a little overkill, but maybe thats the radiator and not oil cooler.

Thanks for the input.

Put a thermostatic valve in and use the biggest you can fit in!
