Hello

Just fired up electrical system on my R1 5pw (2002) and have 17 & 21 fault codes!!!

Anybody know what i should look for

17 on the 5VY( might be the same) is exup valve do you have the gubbins that would sit in the exhaust?

21 temp sensor again thats 5VY

17 is EXUP open or short circuit
21 is temp sender open or short circuit

Have not got Exup valve servo handy

Can i get rid of fault code without it?

There's a gizmo you can make up to do it. Have a read here or Chris Mason had some made up in a set of racking he was selling inthis thread so it might be worth giving him a shout. It's a lot lighter than carrying an EXUP solenoid around.
