Thorney Island Car Show

Did any of the southern contingent go down to the Thorney Island Car Show near Chichester over the weekend? I went down with a few of my BEC buddies today and had a bit of fun on the drag strip.
Considering I had my crap road tyres on (185/60 Yoko 509s) and no LSD, I was quite pleased with a 13.4s quarter @ 104mph with an attempted shift into 7th which slowed me down a bit on that run
As a comparison, my mate's ZX12 ST Locost did a 12.5@112mph and another friend's Megabusa a 12.99@111mph, so I think with an LSD and stickier tyres I could get closer to that with the humble blade. The clutch seemed to hold up OK and its quite amusing when you come back after caning some souped up Renault5 Turbo and he asks "Whats in that then?" and you can say "Its a 0.9 litre".

like the 0.9 litre bit, had the same fun with evo's n scoobys, on the strip/track it as to be a bloody good en to get the better of a BEC.......

Yeh, I didn't come up against any Scoobies etc as we were mostly running in pairs with the other BECs, but things like old shape WRXs seem to be running around 14s+ so they wouldnt have been a problem.
