R1 airbox noise levels
sdh2903 - 21/6/11 at 06:50 PM

Hi all

Im using a 99 4xv R1 lump and I have both the standard airbox and a pipercross sausage filter. I had planned to use the std airbox however its going to need a very large scoop to house it. If I use the pipercross it means that I can use a more normal scoop. Am I going to struggle with noise levels for IVA with a sausage filter?

I will be using the std R1 can btw.

If you already have a bonnet scoop you can turn the airbox through 180 degrees with a few mods and possibly cut the top down and it will reduce the height.
