Bike radiators?
DANMAN - 18/4/12 at 10:48 PM

Is anyone using a bike radiator in their car?
I'm looking for a lighter option than the Escort one that's in there.

Dan.

Is the Escort one steel?

It's pretty hot in Oz isn't it... I'd have thought a bike one would be too small.

Most of us use Volkswagen 1.0lt Polo or Golf (little bit wider) rads.

Cheers,
James

Are they very light?

yes, they are aluminum and plastic construction its the water that makes them heavy

bikes receive a lot of additional air cooling, which the engine won't get in a car.

Hi
I have used a new renault 5gt light weight race rad made from ally. Just fits and looks well in place. Plenty cooling. Got it on ebay for 100 quid
Cheers
