Hayabusa Speed Sensor - Help
MikeFellows - 5/5/12 at 01:44 AM

How do people setup the speed sensor on the hayabusa

I dont even know where to begin to be honest, because its impossible to use the original bracket as it has to be removed to fit the sprocket adapter, also what do i use for a pickup, do I need to place magnets on the top of the sprocket adapter, if so where abouts?

sorry, but its pretty much the last thing i need to have the busa electrics done

any photos would be hugely appreciated

Thanks

Hi Mike,

I have placed the speed sensor almost in the original area and used the 4 bolt heads on the propshaft adapter to drive the sensor. You do not need any magnets. the sensor has a magnet in it and it will pick up a metal object that goes past it if it is close enough. So, it is very easy and neat to fit as you will not need to extend the harness wires, being in the same position as standard. I have put a photo in my archives if you would care to have a look.
