Just re-read the blade manual and realised that the fuel pump doesn't actually turn until you actually turn the engine over so my fuel cut-off relay may be alright after all !!

Can someone just confirm this is the case.

Correct - though some wire it to switch on with ignition, some with and some without relay.

IIRC - for fuel injection it has to be pre-engine firing therefore on ignition switch.

That'll teach me to read the manual!!!

Well at least I didn't fork out the £55 that Honda wanted for a new one!!
