speedo calibration ?

after taking the midi for a quick run with my dad ( on private land ) the speedo seems to be out !! it has a zx10r engine and uses the original clocks , having not owned a bec before i was wondering how you calibrate the speedo ?

My vote for the speedo healer. I had a yellowbox on an earlier car and it did not have the range of calibration that the speedohealer has.

Its worth noting the Picbits one is completely universal, made by a very handy chap from migweb (vauxhall forum) called Dom, its just the bare bones, requires no more than a few wires to get it installed.
I put mine in a black maplin box and bipassed the standard micro switches with some push switches. AFAIK is infinitly adjustable. I just drove along the road with my GPS/satnav speedo on, then pressed the up and down buttons till it the speedo was correct, then pressed the set button, never had to touch it again.

I'd agree with that. The yellow box I had originally only just enough at max adjustment to pass SVA and still almost 10% out. Speedo healer is much better and now only about 0.1mph out compared to sat nav.
