
I'm at the stage now where my MK is pretty much finished but i want to get the emissions checked before i take it to IVA. I have a Healtech FI tuner pro which adjusts the fuelling only and wondering where to take it. With the FI tuner i can select between 3 maps (zero map, map 1 and 2). My thoughts were to get it mapped for max power on map 1 and have map 2 for the iva and mot's where a cat would be fitted. There are a couple of rolling roads near me which will do it but they have never used any Healtech products before so can't give an estimate of how long it should take. Has anyone got any idea how long this sort of thing should take and what a rolling roads charge on average? I've been quoted £110 + vat an hour for one place but they don't know how long it would take.
i paid £350 to get my starlet turbo mapped and that took around 3 hours, i paid £300 to get my mx5 turbo mapped and that took around the same time which works out at a similar price per hour... i'm in the same situation as you but im taking mine to MK to get it emissions tested and checked over, they think it wont need mapping and will just need a cat fitted.
Someone on here told me Mac 1 are good at seting engines up if that helps
Go see Tom at tcs near stansted airport good guy and is very good on price, I would recommend him,
28 psi fuel pressure, PAIRS fitted and a cat...should scrape through...and I mean scrape.....don't run at 28psi for too long!

Give pdq a ring. charge is about 80 per hour for their RR and they just did a brilliant job on my Busa Indy.

Nick at PDQ is very good, mapped my Busa race car.
For the IVA map all you need is the map you end up with after the rolling road then weaken off the areas on the map corresponding to the speeds
you'll be tested at. I ended up with -27 in the 750 - 1250 rpm range and throttle openings 0 to 5% then the same in the block for 2250 - 3250
rpm. The car's completely drivable with this map cos as soon as you get past 5% throttle you're onto the normal map.
Ah good idea Bob hopefully i won't need this for my MOT but i'll keep this in mind.
