Hi
I'm totaly new to this Seven and BEC world. I have just started to bulid my westfield mega kit were I'm gona fit a R1 09 Crossplane engine.
I have not seen any builds with this engine. Any tips what to do with the oil system would be nice. And also if anyone built a new airbox were they
fitted the variable funels and secunday fuel injectors i will be very interested in pictures.
Thanks

I've not heard of any kits yet fitted with the cross plane R1.
In theory the advantage it has in a bike is not relevant in a car and it has less power than the earlier engines. As a resul,t to my knowledge, no one
has taken on the challenge.
I have raced with R1 since 2006 and i have to say that the crossplane engine do not have less power on the track, only in the dyno. who races in a dyno? If I was going for the highest dyno number I would use a busa turbo engine or a car engine. I like Yamaha and I love the sound from the crossplane engine.

Not at all. Anything that sounds that good can't be crap.
Check out this motor well before you go that route. A fair few used in competition (bikes) have had head gasket failure due to castings deforming...
