On my GSXR K1 engine the clutch push rod is very close to where the sprocket adapter / prop shaft will be...... so close that there isn't enough
room to use the original clutch release mechanism.
I have bought a newer sprocket cover which has the different clutch release mechanism but the cover itself isn't going to fit as the mounting
holes are different spacings to the K1. I was hoping to cut both up and make something that fits but the magnesium-aluminium alloy cant be welded
easily.
Has anyone overcome this issue? And advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
I've put a few pictures on here of my solution, a Hewland cylinder (available from anywhere - DT, Merlin, etc.), on a bracket.
This assembly performed faultlessly on the road and track.

Brilliant! Thanks for that. I think I will try and do something similar.
Do you have any more photos of your build?? Did you use the original push rod?
