Digi Dash and Gear Indicator

Ok I'm after a little advice if anyone has a similar setup. I have a Digi dash with the speed trigger input for the magnet and sensor setup at the prop shaft. My question is I want to put a separate digital gear indicator above the steering wheel, but obviously require a speed input, now can the signal cable be broken into and the speed signal piggy-backed onto before I go cutting away?

I cant see why not, however electrical gremlins can crop up anywhere.
If you patch it in carefully and it did cause issues it wouldnt be hard to remove the split and add a seperate magnet/sensor dedicated to the gear read out.

What make is yours Rich?

I spoke to ETB and they said there speed sensor is a NPN circuit and if the other is not the same it can just ground out the signal and thus loosing the signal to the Digi Dash.

Sorry mine is a Koso rx1n dash and Acumen dg8 gear indicator.

I spliced into the rev and speedo feed on my zx9.

May not help ou with our ETB Digidash sorry.
