Hi,
I am in the process of replacing my knackered old silencer with a
new one. The can I have bought is very nice stainless one from
fisher sports cars but when fitted with a 70 degree outlet its
approx 2" too long.
My dilemma is that I want to keep the car a quiet as possible but
without losing too much power. If I use a 90 degree outlet will
this impede the gas flow dramatically? My alternative is to take a
couple of inches of the length of the can but I am concerned that it
will reduce it's silencing ability.
Any thoughts guys?
Cheers

I doubt you will notice it at all, a good trick is to point the outlet under the car and at the ground. It seems to fool the noise sensors.
