I am looking to find out what sort of angle i need to mount my CBR1000 motor at when its installed in the chassis. I want to keep it as close to the
same angle as it was in the bike to avoid andy oil starvation problems.
EDIT: If you dont know the answer can anyone suggest a suitable place to find it - have googled it but only got answers concerning cornering angles
and valve angles
Cheers

A friend of mine has a CBR1000 engined striker. Done quite a few trackdays without any sign of oil surge. IIRC his sump is parallel with the floor
of the car.
Post a message on the BEC list for Luke he may be able to give some guidance.

Cheers Jim,
When you say parallel with the floor do you mean its put in bolt upright?
Used to use a CBR 1000 in me grasser-fine motor (if a little heavy) ...
As Jim (sort of) says, when the engine is sat as per the bike, the sump base should be parallel to the floor.
HTH Stu.
Thanks chaps, one less thing i need to worry about when im making the cradle.
Stu, i might be badgering you for a bit of help with sorting out what bits of various ancilliaries attach to where on my engine seeing as you have
just admitted to having prior experience with them
No worries mate...
I thought I was being as clear as ever
