Does anyone know anything about removing the exhaust servo so it doesn't show an FI warning light?

Ive seen something on eBay called "servo buddy" that plugs onto the loom where the servo came off and apparently stops the FI light but I was wondering if there was a different (free?) way of doing this by cutting some wires etc....
