R1 Gkd on the rollers today

Well what a nerve racking experience having your pride and joy thrashed in front of you . First time the car has been set up really and has made a massive improvement to how it drives which was the main objective.

Engine was actually running rich at the top end rather than the usual lean, but that was down to me fitting too big a main jet. Dropped down a size and all was well. Engine is a 4xv r1, stage 1 jet kit, k and n filter in standard airbox and a de-baffled standard can. It ended up making 142 bhp and 80 torques at the wheels but I suspect the dyno may be a touch optimistic. It started out at 127bhp so a decent gain

Car was done at Jdm dyno in Cumbria and Jonathan was very helpful and explained every adjustment and it's effects.

Just need some tax now on the 1st and might even book my first ever track day!

Mallory bit far for me!

The rollers didn't look that new so presume they are the old ones. I think Jonathan is aiming for an award for the most untidy workshop! Makes my garage look tidy anyway

Excellent figures!

Why did you take it all the way to Cumbria rather than somewhere closer to home?

Are you looking to book up a Knockhill day? I quite fancy taking my first dip into track days this year aswell!

Yes Knockhill is top of the list definitely up for that. Figures are good but like I said I think it was a downhill dyno

I rang most dynos up here but nowhere really came across as being that interested in carbs, especially bike ones. A few said to bring it in and we'll have a go but we've not done one before which didn't really inspire me with confidence. Jdm have done a lot with kits, the guy even owns an F27, and he only charged me 80 quid for a couple of hours work (although I did provide the jets and had prefitted the dyno jet kit).

Have you looked into getting yours done up here?
