Hey folks

I'm doing Bedford on Monday and plan to bring 2 20l jerry cans. The spouts they come with are rubbish. Is ther a better way of getting the fuel from the can to the tank?

Flexible funnel? Halfords sell them for £5-£10

Just buy a cheap plastic funnel with a flexible pipe. I got mine in a the Pound Shop.

I must admit I used an old "Su" type pump off the battery for a while, just because it was lying around.

You can get different nozzles. There are at least the basic metal one without a breather; a metal one with a breather; a metal one with a plastic end; and a metal one with a spiral wound flexible spout. None are good, but the flexible one, although slow, doesn't seem to cause any other problems.

Get a plastic spout from a 5 litre plastic petrol can. Cut the screw end off and push it on to the metal jerry can spout, much easier to pour now.

no gurgling & fast fill, quicker than a pump
but you do have to lift it.
