Hi

Do you consider this as a BEC ?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/kit-cars/mk/mk-cosworth-330/1669231

What do you think about it ?
330 BHP is much more powerfull than an R1 or Hayabusa engine ...

Any advices ???

How can it be a BEC (bike engine car) with the engine from a car (Sierra Cosworth)

ATB

BEC = Bike Engined Car

That is a car engine so no it isn't a BEC

OK I understand; in France I'm used to see MK with R1 or Hayabusa engines.

What about that one with the cossworth Engine : driving, maintenance operations, ... ?

Driving a MK with a R1 engine is already fabulous, but with that engine which is about twice as much power .. it must be huge!

Any advices ???
Are there a lot in UK ? What do you think about the price ?

Lots of support for the Cosworth engine in the UK several good specialists here so the engine will be fine. 330BHP is a good mid range level of tune for cosworths so not stretching the engine.

MK have the support so that should be fine.

The price is only worth it if your willing to pay for it.

The most common Cosworth powered kit cars are DAX. They generally hold their money more because the kits cost more to start with. 10K is cheap compared to DAX but expensive, in some peoples eyes, for an MK chassis.

I've owned two Sierra Cosworths and I would guess a Cosworth in a kit car would be a right handfull? The torque once the turbo comes on boost is brutal!
I don't think it would accelerate much faster to 100mph than a BEC but above 100mph it would keep accelerating to 160mph+ at the same rate!
Unless its got a lower ratio diff in the back or lower gearset the T5 gearing is not nice IMO.

id be happy paying that for it,

alot of car and power for the money if going fast is your game, not much will be as quick for that cash with 4 wheels

Dont forget the Cosworth is based round a pinto block.

You coud buy my pinto engined MK for £ 4,400 drop a Cosworth in it and have lots of change left over
