Nice and light, any reason why not?

Will only need to power anything to do with the engine (which it would usually do) and a rain light (led so wouldn't use much).

yes adam no reason why you can't .I use one on my road car, have done alot of night driving over last few weeks with no problems,they save a couple of kgs and look neat too. see picture attached. Rescued attachment DCP_0544.JPG

Most bikes have 2 headlights, and all the brake, turn and tail lights that a car has.

If you want to be safe, then use some aftermarket LED bulbs where you can. Some flasher unit require a certain current draw to work properly.
